Keira Knightley goes against Mother’s ideas.

Keira Knightley was originally assigned to play the character of Caitlin Thomas in her upcoming flick The Edge of Love penned specially for her by her screenwriter mom Sharman MacDonald untill she refused to play the character.

Macdonald narrated Keira the role of Caitlin Thomas but she went against the ideas of her mother to play the part of Vera. Macdonald had to convert the character of Vera Phillips according to Keira’s liking.

Macdonald revealed, “I said, ‘You’re playing Caitlin (to Keira

Knightley),’ and she said, ‘No, I like Vera.’”

“She (Vera Phillips) wasn’t even a singer until Keira decided to play her.”
