Scarlett Johansson Wins Tony

“Being a movie star is a quality that somebody sort of embodies, and being a celebrity is something that humans recognize in you. I just hope to compose good movies.”
- Scarlett Johansson

The 25 year old star of such movies as Lost in Translation (2003) and Match Point (2005) is on a roll. In June alone she won a Tony award for her foray into theater in the play A View From The Bridge, got a Teen Choice award nomination for he role in Iron Man 2 and kissed Sandra Bullock on stage at the MTV movie awards.

She said in her acceptance speech at the Tony’s:

“Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be on Broadway and here I am,” she said

God, however, was absent from her thank you list, which is not surprising considering what she proclaimed in 2009 on the Online magazine FemaleFirst:

“Some humans can be so goofy, particularly the ones that say, ‘I’d like to thank our Lord Jesus up above!’ I’m like, ‘For the love of God, keep your mouth shut. That’s why the world is so f***ed up considering God is focusing solely on your career.”

Scarlett Johansson to Star in “Lunatic at Large”

Scarlett is rumored to star in “Lunatic at Large” – a movie based on a script written in the 1950s. Written by late film director Stanley Kubrick, the script was lost and never to found by him. However, Kubrick’s son-in-law, Philip Hobbs found the script while rummaging through Kubrick’s items. After several years, that movie is all set to be resurrected. Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson are rumored to star in that movie.

“Lunatic at Large” is about a guy with anger management issues, who meets that nervous but pretty girl – to be played by Scarlett. Apparently, that movie is suspense thriller where an axe assassin escapes from an asylum. Who that assassin is, forms the crux of the story.

Scarlett makes fun of her Fellow Drama Actor

Scarlett Johansson can be pretty unforgiving, and any gaffe with her can compose world news. Take that case where her fellow drama actor Liev Schreiber mistakenly let a spittle out from the side of his mouth .that landed on our poor Scarlett’s forehead. Scarlett on Late show with David Letterman, described that Liev Schreiber let out an “asteroid-size loogie” which landed on her forehead.

Her fellow actor is obviously disgusted with her dramatic description. Speaking to MTV radio, Liev said, “whether I were to produce the loogie, how on earth could I actually produce an ‘asteroid size’ loogie? I think it’s unfair considering the reality of what happened is a spittle escaped from the side of my mouth while I was acting in a very dramatic play. What’s disturbing to me is that that is now universal news. that is an acclaimed Arthur Miller play and all she could think of saying was that I hawked a loogie.”

The play, “A View from the Bridge” featuring Johannson and Schreiber ends on April 4
